- We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Check Executive to ensure high-quality standards across knitted and woven fabrics, finished garments, and other textile product categories.
- The candidate should have strong expertise in knitted fabric inspection and practical knowledge of the American Four-Point System (ASTM D5430).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct knitted fabric inspections according to the American Four-Point System.
- Identify defects such as dropped stitches, needle lines, holes, barre effects, spirality, fabric distortion, streaks, yarn contamination, looping faults, and tuck or miss stitches.
- Inspect fabric construction parameters and identify intra-roll and inter-roll shade variations.
- Apply suitable inspection procedures for knitted, woven, non-woven, printed, yarn-dyed, and technical fabrics.
- Maintain accurate quality inspection records and prepare reports for factories and suppliers.
- Coordinate with factories and suppliers regarding product quality issues, claims, shortages, and returns.
- Ensure all return and weight-shortage cases are resolved within 30 days.
- Follow up on supporting documents, including debit notes, credit notes, transport receipts, and return documentation.
- Ensure returned products are properly tagged, labelled, graded, and received in good condition.
- Coordinate with the accounts team to periodically reconcile creditor and debtor ledgers related to claims.
- Ensure that the company does not incur demurrage or detention charges during product returns.
- Conduct on-site quality audits at factories, mills, dyeing units, printing houses, supplier facilities,
and processing units.
- Ensure approved returned goods are correctly graded and added back to inventory.
- Support loss-prevention initiatives and work towards reducing repeat quality issues and buyer claims.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelors degree in Textile Technology, Knitting Technology, or a related field.
- ITI or vocational training in Textile Quality Control will be preferred.
- Certification in Fabric Inspection, AQL, or Quality Management Systems will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection of knitted and woven fabrics.
- At least 2 years of practical experience using the American Four-Point System.
- Strong knowledge of knitted and woven fabric construction.
- Understanding of fabric defect classifications and acceptable quality standards.
- Basic awareness of textile laboratory testing and current quality standards.
- Knowledge of return, claim, import, and logistics documentation.
- Solid fabric inspection, quality auditing, defect analysis, and claim-management skills.
- Good vendor coordination, documentation control, and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, process-driven, proactive, and accountable.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills with a result-oriented approach.
