Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and driven Quality Assurance Tester to join Host360’s Product Engineering team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end quality validation of our cloud platform—spanning web portals, REST APIs, cloud-infrastructure integrations, billing systems, and customer-facing services.

You will work closely with cloud engineers, DevOps practitioners, and product managers to champion quality across every stage of the software delivery lifecycle. ## Key Responsibilities

Cloud

Platform & Web Testing

· Design and execute comprehensive manual and exploratory test plans across Host360’s cloud console, API gateway, and provisioning workflows.

· Validate platform features against technical specifications and service-level requirements.

· Perform cross-browser, responsive, and multi-tenant compatibility testing across cloud regions.

· Document and prioritize defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, logs, and visual evidence.





· Execute regression suites during sprint cycles to guarantee platform stability.

- API & Integration Testing

· Conduct API testing for Host360’s REST interfaces (request/response validation, schema checks, auth flows, and rate limiting).

· Validate RBAC, multi-tenancy isolation, and identity management (IAM) features.

· Author and maintain reusable API test collections in Postman.

- Release & Defect Management

· Collaborate with product and engineering teams to establish release acceptance criteria.

· Maintain explicit test cases, matrices, and traceability docs in test management systems.

· Perform smoke, sanity, and integration testing for pre-production sign-offs and live deployment verification.

· Track defects from initial logging through to verified resolution. 4.

Documentation & Reporting · Maintain accurate test execution records, defect logs, and release quality reports. · Publish sprint-level and release-level quality summaries for engineering and product leadership. · Contribute to the QA knowledge base, testing playbooks, and internal best-practice guidelines. · Ensure all testing activities adhere to Host360’s quality processes, compliance requirements, and security standards.

Testing

Fundamentals · Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC.



· Practical knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and UAT testing. · Experience logging and tracking defects through a structured defect lifecycle. · Ability to write clear, concise, and reusable test cases and test execution reports.

- Web & UI Testing · Cross-browser and responsive UI testing (Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse). · Form validation, UX flow verification, and accessibility awareness. · Familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging and network inspection.
- API Testing · REST API testing concepts: HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and authentication (API Key, OAuth 2.0, JWT). · Proficiency with Postman for manual and collection-based API testing. · Understanding of JSON data structures and schema validation.
- Tools & Platforms · Jira (or equivalent): defect tracking, sprint boards, test management. · Git fundamentals: branching, pull requests, reviewing test artefacts in version control. · Familiarity with at least one test case management platform (TestRail, Zephyr, or similar). Key Qualifications

· Experience: Hands-on experience testing web applications and RESTful APIs.

· Tools & Skills: Familiarity with Postman, Jira, web browser developer tools, and basic cloud/IaaS concepts.

· Cloud Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud platforms (OpenStack, VMware, Nutanix)

· Mindset: Strong analytical troubleshooting skills with a sharp eye for edge cases and user experience.

· Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with engineering teams.
