Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with robust expertise in API Automation Testing using the Karate Framework . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable automation frameworks, automating REST APIs, integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines, and working in Agile development environments.

This role requires strong analytical skills, ownership, and the ability to deliver high-quality automation solutions for enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable API automation frameworks using Karate Framework
- Automate REST APIs and validate request/response payloads, authentication, business rules, and schemas
- Develop reusable automation components using JavaScript
- Create BDD test scenarios using Gherkin
- Execute smoke, regression, and integration test suites
- Perform API contract and schema validation
- Integrate automation suites with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Review API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI) and derive automation scenarios
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams in Agile sprints
- Analyze automation failures,



debug issues, and recommend quality improvements
- Contribute to framework enhancements, reporting, logging, and reusable utilities
- Generate execution reports using Allure Reports or similar reporting tools
- Participate in code reviews and promote automation best practices

Required Skills

- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing & Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Karate Framework
- Expertise in REST API Automation
- Strong JavaScript programming skills
- Experience writing BDD scenarios using Gherkin
- Good understanding of JSON, XML, REST APIs, HTTP protocols, headers, cookies, and authentication
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and Basic Authentication
- Hands-on experience with Git
- Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI
- Knowledge of Maven or Gradle
- Experience with SQL and database validation
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
