We are looking for a highly skilled Test Automation Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Playwright , strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript , and hands-on knowledge of WebDriverIO and RestAssured . This role combines technical leadership, architecture, hands-on automation, mentoring, and the adoption of AI-driven testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable, reusable automation frameworks for web and API testing using Playwright, WebDriverIO, and RestAssured.
- Define automation architecture, best practices, coding standards, and governance.
- Drive automation strategy across Agile/DevOps teams and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate emerging tools, conduct POCs, and recommend framework improvements.
- Explore and implement AI-assisted testing capabilities such as intelligent test generation and self-healing automation.
- Mentor QA engineers and SDETs through code reviews, training, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with QA, Development, DevOps, and Product teams to improve software quality.
- Provide hands-on automation and manual testing support when required.

Required Qualifications

- Location: Hyderabad (mandatory)
- 15+ years of overall software testing experience.




- 10+ years of hands-on automation testing experience.
- 5+ years in a Test Automation Architect or similar role.
- Expert in Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong experience with WebDriverIO, RestAssured, and API automation.
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with BDD/TDD, automation design patterns, and software quality principles.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and modern testing practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with mobile automation.
- Knowledge of Docker, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and performance testing.
- Experience with test data management or open-source contributions.
- Relevant QA or automation certifications.
