Role Description The Python Technical Lead will serve as a hands-on technical expert, guiding the design and development of Python-based solutions for generative AI and content intelligence projects. This is a 3-month contract, on-site role located in Chennai, responsible for leading a small engineering team, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to best practices, performance, and reliability standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting APIs and backend services, integrating AI/ML models, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with product managers and data scientists to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

Strong Python programming skills with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining production-grade applications and services.

Experience with backend frameworks and APIs (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) and familiarity with RESTful services and microservices architectures.





Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and practical experience integrating or working with generative AI models, ML pipelines, or related frameworks.

Proficiency with databases and data processing (SQL/NoSQL, data modeling, performance optimization, ETL or data ingestion workflows).

Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, containerization using Docker and orchestration tools).

Demonstrated technical leadership skills, including code reviews, mentoring, and guiding architectural decisions in engineering teams.

Robust problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in AI-focused or data-intensive products, and prior work in consulting or client-facing roles is a plus.
