Key Responsibilities

- Prepare PVC dry blends and compound formulations as per instructions.

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including:

- Two Roll Mill

- Thermal Stability Test systems (Congo Red / Static Oven / Metrastat or equivalent)

- Hydraulic Compression Moulding Press

- Hot Air Oven

- Laboratory Mixers

- Precision Balances

- Produce PVC sheets and test specimens for laboratory evaluation.

- Perform routine testing and assessment of:

- Thermal stability

- Colour development

- Fusion behaviour

- Plate-out

- Surface finish

- Dispersion

- Record observations and maintain accurate test reports.

- Support development of PVC stabilizers and compound formulations.

- Ensure laboratory cleanliness and compliance with safety procedures.

- Coordinate with Production and Quality departments during product trials.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of PVC compounding and processing techniques.

- Hands-on experience with Two Roll Mill operation.

- Understanding of Thermal Stability testing methods.

- Familiarity with PVC additives such as:

- Stabilizers

- Lubricants

- Processing aids

- Calcium carbonate





- Titanium dioxide

- Plasticizers

- Metallic stearates

- Ability to follow SOPs accurately.

- Strong observation and documentation skills.

Qualification

- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Polymer, Plastic, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

- ITI/Polytechnic candidates with relevant PVC lab experience may also apply.

Experience

- 1–5 years in PVC compounding, stabilizers, masterbatch, or polymer processing labs preferred.

- Freshers with Polymer/Plastic Engineering background and lab exposure may also apply.

Preferred Experience

Experience in PVC Pipe, Cable, Profile, Fittings, Medical PVC, or compound manufacturing is an advantage.
