Roles & Responsibilities:

- Development and implementation of Procurement strategy: Create and execute a procurement strategy for all business lines within the company.
- Sourcing and vendor management: Identify cost-effective vendors/suppliers for procurement, aiming to reduce costs while improving quality and reliability.
- Supply chain practices: Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
- Co-ordination with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with R&D;, engineering, marketing, production, and stores to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Forecast monitoring: Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes and assess their impact on supply chain activities.
- Supplier network management: Maintain and expand the supplier network to ensure a diverse and reliable base of vendors.
- New part and vendor development: Develop new parts and new vendors based on the organization's requirements.
- Vendor assessment: Evaluate vendor manufacturing capabilities through on-site visits and measurements.
- Supplier performance evaluation:



Monitor supplier performance to assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Claims management: Handle and monitor claims to vendors for defectives, shortages, and missing materials.

Desired Candidate Skills:

- Drawing Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Component Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing components or familiarity with component manufacturing processes.
- Costing: Understanding of cost analysis and pricing strategies.
- Vendor Development: Experience in identifying and developing recent vendors.
- Techno-Commercial Skills: Strong knowledge of both technical and commercial aspects of procurement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication: Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Hands-on Excel, ERP, and other computer applications: Proficiency in using software tools such as Microsoft Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech/B.E (Mechanical) or Diploma

Experience:

- 10-20 years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management.
