Role Description The Purchase Manager – MRO will oversee end-to-end procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials and industrial supplies, ensuring availability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality and standardization guidelines. This full-time, on-site role based in Borivali involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and coordinating purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory levels across multiple locations.
The Purchase
Manager will collaborate with operations, warehouse,
and facility teams to forecast demand, optimize stock, and support recent site rollouts and ongoing OPEX requirements.
Responsibilities include monitoring market trends, analyzing spend data, enforcing procurement policies, and leveraging technology tools such as Procura Connect for approvals, price governance, and performance tracking. The role also requires continuous process improvement to enhance lead times, reduce procurement risks, and support scalable, asset-light operations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in MRO procurement, indirect sourcing, and vendor management within multi-location operations.
- Strong skills in negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization, with a focus on quality, standardization, and compliance.
- Proficiency in using procurement or ERP systems, data analysis tools, and technology-enabled workflows for approvals, price governance, and spend visibility.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, warehouse, and facility management teams to forecast demand and align procurement with business needs.
- Solid understanding of industrial supplies, warehouse and storage solutions, and facility consumables relevant to CAPEX, OPEX, and MRO requirements.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, dashboards, and supplier performance reviews.
