Job Role: PRT (Social Science)

Location: DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon The Primary Teacher – Social Science is responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate Social Science instruction to students in Grades III–V (or as assigned), aligned with the CBSE curriculum and Kunskapsskolan's personalised learning approach. The teacher will cultivate curiosity about society, history, geography, civics, culture, and the environment while promoting inquiry, collaboration, and real-world application.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery

- Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Integrate history, geography, civics, environmental studies, and current affairs into classroom learning.
- Develop lesson plans that promote inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs using personalized learning methodology.
- Incorporate experiential learning, projects, field-based activities, and technology to enhance student engagement.

Student Learning & Assessment

- Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain accurate academic records and provide constructive feedback.
- Design assessments that evaluate conceptual understanding, application, and analytical skills.




- Support students requiring additional academic intervention or enrichment.

Classroom Management

- Foster a secure, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Encourage respectful behaviour, collaboration, and student leadership.
- Establish classroom routines that promote responsibility and independent learning.

Personalized Learning

- Mentor students by setting individual learning goals and tracking progress.
- Encourage self-directed learning and reflection.
- Support students in developing research, presentation, and communication skills.

School Responsibilities

- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
- Contribute to school initiatives, committees, and professional learning communities.
- Uphold school policies and child safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Social Science, History, Geography, Political Science, or a related discipline.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.
- CTET qualification preferred.
- CBSE teaching experience preferred.
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school at the primary level.
- Experience teaching Social Science/Environmental Studies (EVS) in primary grades.
