About- Manipur University was established on 5th June, 1980 under the Manipur University Act. 1980 (Manipur Act 8 of 1980), as a teaching affiliating University at Imphal with territorial jurisdiction over the whole of the state of Manipur and it was converted into a central university w.e.f. 13/10/2005. Eligibility-
- Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
- The candidates from Life sciences/Pharmaceuticals with the knowledge of molecular biology techniques is preferable.
- Candidates with a background of Instrumentation Sciences are preferred for those having an Engineering or Technology Master’s degree.
Job/Position Description- Applications are invited for the appointment of the following positions of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), New Delhi, GOI funded project “DBT-BUILDER-Manipur University-Interdisciplinary Life Science Programme for Advance Research and Education ” ( Sanction No- BT/INF/22/SP45400/2022 Dated 14th March, 2022 ) . Name of the Project Position No of position Salary/Emoluments Project Scientist ( Level-1) 1 Rs. 56000/- + 8% HRA*( Rs. 60,480/-) and increment if 5% every 2 years of experiences The duration of the project is 5 years or co-terminus till satisfactory progress of the candidate which will be evaluated every year.
HRA* will be given only when no accommodation facility is provided to the fellows by the University.
