Designation/Position- Senior Project Scientist Position at IIT

IIT Kanpur, India invites applications for Senior Project Scientist Position at IIT from eligible and interested candidates

About- Applications are invited for a temporary & contractual post of Sr. Project Scientist under the project titled: “UniGrip – A Universal Robotic Gripper using Biomimetic Tactile Sensor” at the Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT) / National Centre for Flexible Electronics, IIT Kanpur. Senior Project Scientist Position at IIT Research/Job Area- Physics, Material Science, or allied fields

Location- IIT Kanpur

Eligibility/Qualification– Minimum Qualification : Ph.D.* + 1 year relevant experience Or Postgraduate + 4 years relevant experience

Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. with 1 year experience in Physics, Material Science, or allied fields with doctoral work involving fabrication and characterization of organic and inorganic semiconductor

Essential Experience: Experience in a research & development project(s) related to organic electronic device fabrication and Inkjet printing of multi-layer functional devices

Desirable Experience: Experience after Ph.D. of working in the following areas

- Physics in low-dimensional materials e.g. carbon nanotube thin films, thin film transistor devices
- Solution processing of thin films via drop casting, spin coating and dip coating
- Device fabrication using lithography, thermal evaporation, sputtering, reactive plasma ion etching, wire bonding, Photon sintering
- Inkjet printing of multi-layer functional devices
- Thin Film characterization using electrical and optical techniques
- Data analysis and interfacing software e.g. Origin, MATLAB, LABVIEW and Python

Job/Position Description- Salary: Rs.



38800-3200-96400/- (per month based on qualification) Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of three years or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
