Role Description The Project Planning Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling infrastructure projects across Royal’s verticals. This position manages project timelines, prepares and updates work programs, coordinates with engineering, construction, procurement, and site teams, and ensures alignment with contract requirements and organizational standards. Daily activities include monitoring progress against plans, analyzing variances, preparing reports and dashboards,



and supporting cost and resource optimization.

The role involves identifying risks and constraints, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders and clients on project status.

The Project Planning

Engineer contributes to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools to support secure, on-time, and cost-effective project delivery.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Planning & Scheduling and Planning skills to develop, update, and optimize project programs.

Candidates should possess Cost Control skills to monitor budgets, support cost forecasting, and help maintain financial discipline on projects.

Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret project data, assess risks, and support informed decision-making.

Candidates should possess Project Control skills to track progress, manage baselines, and prepare accurate status reports.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline; a postgraduate qualification in project management is an advantage.

Experience with project planning software (such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

Familiarity with infrastructure and construction projects, preferably in railways, bridges, highways, or related civil works.

Strong communication and coordination abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work safely and effectively in a site-based environment.
