Role Title: Head-Projects

Reporting to: Chief Manufacturing Officer

Location: Corporate Office, Vadodara

Qualification & Experience Range: Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech (Mechanical Engineering)

Experience: 25 Years

Key Responsibilities (indicative not exhaustive)

1. Project Conceptualization & Strategy

- Evaluate and propose commercially viable projects aligned with business objectives.
- Develop project strategies in consultation with leadership.
- Assess pre-project initiatives including business case, execution planning, procurement strategy, CAPEX, and cash flow.
- Define and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools.

2. Project Planning & Engineering

- Assess site requirements including space, utilities, accessibility, and engineering standards.
- Prepare cost estimates (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, etc.) and project schedules.
- Lead basic and detailed engineering, including layouts, design, and MTO (Material Take-Off).
- Coordinate with licensors, consultants, and vendors for engineering finalization.

3. Procurement & Contract Management

- Develop procurement strategies and finalize contracts.
- Participate in technical evaluations, bid analysis, and vendor finalization.
- Review and approve vendor documents (QAPs, drawings, bar charts).
- Ensure quality inspections and compliance with project specifications.

4. Project Execution & Construction Management

- Drive end-to-end project execution in line with approved plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate site activities across disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, etc.).
- Monitor progress, critical paths, and resource utilization.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and SOP standards during execution.




- Manage statutory approvals and liaison with regulatory authorities.

5. Commissioning & Project Closure

- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities (testing, trials, system checks).
- Ensure completion of punch points and compliance with PSSR/HAZOP recommendations.
- Facilitate project handover to operations with complete documentation.
- Oversee project closure including reconciliation, asset capitalization, and final reporting.

6. Project Governance & Monitoring

- Establish governance frameworks, reporting systems, and review mechanisms.
- Track project performance on cost, time, and quality parameters.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and SHE (Safety, Health & Workplace) requirements.

7. Knowledge & Cost Management

- Develop systems for knowledge management and documentation of learnings.
- Promote cost optimization and efficient resource utilization.
- Manage working capital related to project execution.

8. Stakeholder & Customer Management

- Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Finance, SCM, Manufacturing, SHE).
- Maintain effective communication with leadership and external stakeholders.
- Drive customer engagement and monitor satisfaction, especially for key accounts.

9. People Development

- Build and develop high-performing project teams.
- Provide coaching, training, and guidance to enhance team capability.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
