Educate Girls

Hardoi

Company Description Educate Girls is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 that focuses on improving access to quality education for girls in rural and educationally marginalized areas of India. Working in close alignment with key national education policies and government programs, the organization partners with communities and utilizes existing public school infrastructure rather than creating parallel systems.

Educate

Girls mobilizes local volunteers to identify, enroll, and retain out-of-school girls, while also supporting foundational literacy and numeracy for all children. When formal schooling is not possible, it offers a second chance program to help girls complete their secondary education. With a vision of social and economic transformation through education, Educate Girls aims to reach 10 million learners cumulatively by 2035.

Role Description The Program Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Hardoi, focused on supporting the implementation and monitoring of Educate Girls’ programs at the field level. This role involves coordinating with schools, local government stakeholders, and community volunteers to ensure the enrollment and retention of girls, as well as the delivery of learning interventions.

The Program

Associate will collect and verify data, prepare periodic reports, and support program reviews to track progress against key indicators.

They will facilitate training and orientation sessions for volunteers and school staff, assist in planning community outreach activities, and document best practices and challenges from the field. The role also includes regular field visits, problem-solving with local stakeholders, and close collaboration with internal teams to continuously improve program quality and impact.

Qualifications

- Solid program coordination skills, including planning, organizing field activities, and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in community engagement, especially in rural or low-resource settings, and the ability to build trust with local communities.

- Effective communication skills in English and relevant local languages, with the ability to conduct meetings and trainings.
- Understanding of or interest in education, gender equity, and development sector work.
- Ability to work independently in the field, travel frequently within the district, and adapt to changing program needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Development Studies, or a related field; relevant experience in non-profit or community-based programs is an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy (email, word processing, spreadsheets) and comfort using mobile applications for field reporting.
