Purpose of Job

Operational Purpose:

To plan, manage, and control daily production activities in alignment with company objectives. The role ensures achievement of production targets, adherence to quality and safety standards, and efficient utilization of resources.

Strategic Purpose:

To contribute to operational excellence by driving productivity improvements, ensuring compliance with company standards, and fostering effective communication across departments for continuous improvement.

Reports To: Production Manager

Internal Stakeholders:

All departments and staff of Armor India including Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Logistics.

External Stakeholders:

Armor SA and Armor Asia counterparts.

Value Addition / Accountabilities / Key Performance Areas (The Results to be Delivered)

- Smooth processing of customer orders in SAP and coordination between Sales, Production, and Logistics.
- Achieve daily production targets and review performance on a regular basis.
- Maintain high levels of safety, discipline, and 5S practices on the shop floor.
- Ensure production KPIs are consistently met and maintained.
- Accurately record and update daily, weekly, and monthly production data in Excel, ERP (SAP), or other designated systems.
- Optimize machine and manpower utilization by closely monitoring shift changes and work order transitions.

Responsibilities / High Payoff Activities that Support the Above Accountabilities 1. Production Management

- Plan and execute production schedules in line with the overall production plan.




- Monitor daily production output, identify variances, and take corrective actions.
- Conduct daily meetings with operators to review performance and discuss improvements.

2. Process & Quality Assurance

- Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure prompt action on quality-related issues.
- Ensure all production activities comply with quality, process, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular process, safety, and 5S audits to ensure compliance with company norms.

3. Maintenance & Equipment Management

- Work closely with the Maintenance team to report and resolve machine breakdowns promptly.
- Ensure all machines are operating at optimum efficiency levels.

4. Coordination & Communication

- Collaborate with the Production Planner to execute work orders in line with dispatch schedules and lead times.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless workflow and issue resolution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.

5. Manpower Management

- Manage and control manpower deployment to achieve productivity goals.
- Ensure smooth shift transitions and effective handovers between teams.

Qualifications

Education / Technical Skills

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.

Experience

- Previous experience as a Production Leader or in a similar manufacturing supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience with production operations and reporting systems.
