Role Description:

To lead and manage production engineering activities, ensuring productive and effective manufacturing processes, meeting quality, cost and delivery targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles, improve productivity and reduce waste.

Responsibility

- Lead production engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Design, develop and implement manufacturing processes and systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations and cost-benefit analyses.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Implement lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage production equipment, tooling and machinery.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and company policies.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and production staff.
- Manage budgets, resources and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with quality engineering to ensure quality standards.
- Develop and maintain industry-specific software skills (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX).




- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.
- Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Undertake special projects as and when required.
- Ensure good 5S and safety practices at the workplace.
- Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental and other HR Policies.

- Performing production functions as per plan to improve a company's productivity.
