Job Purpose:

To coordinate between the design, sampling, cutting, stitching, and finishing departments to ensure timely and accurate execution of production orders as per buyer or internal retail requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Order Coordination & Planning:

Understand production orders, style details, and specifications from the sampling or design team.

Prepare stitching production plans in coordination with the cutting and finishing teams.

Create a time and action (T&A;) calendar and monitor each process step.

2. Fabric & Trims Follow-up:

Ensure all fabrics, linings, and trims are available before stitching starts.

Coordinate with the store/IMS department for fabric issue and balance tracking.

3. Stitching Line Coordination:

Allocate stitching work to tailors & ensure production targets and daily output are achieved.

Resolve any technical issues related to stitching, patterns, or construction.

Monitor alterations and reworks to minimize wastage and delays.

Communication & Reporting

Provide daily and weekly production status reports (order progress, delays, output).

6. Cost & Efficiency:

Track production efficiency and tailor output.

Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements to reduce cost and time.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of stitching techniques for ethnic wear (kurta, sherwani, jacket, etc.).

Knowledge of garment, fabric behavior, and trims.

Production planning and coordination skills.

Valuable communication and follow-up ability.

Basic knowledge of Excel and production tracking.

Experience:

2–5 years in production merchandising or coordination in a stitching unit. Monthly CTC is between 30000 to 35000 & as the factory is based at Thane, candidates residing in central suburbs are preferred
