Job Title: Production Assistant Manager – Furniture Manufacturing

Location: Old Mumba - Pune highway near Khalapur, Maharashtra

Industry: Luxury Furniture Manufacturing (Sofas, Chairs & Upholstered Furniture)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Production Assistant Manager to support day-to-day manufacturing operations in a luxury furniture production facility. The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of production planning, manpower management, quality control, and process improvement in the furniture industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Production Manager in planning and executing daily production activities.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Supervise manufacturing processes including wood, metal, upholstery, foam, cutting, sewing, and assembly.
- Manage shop floor manpower and ensure optimum productivity.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals are achieved.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Monitor material availability and reduce production downtime.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company SOPs.
- Prepare daily, weekly,



and monthly production reports and MIS.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and guide supervisors and production operators to improve performance.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
- Experience in luxury sofa, chair, or upholstered furniture manufacturing is preferred.

- Knowledge of production KPIs, efficiency monitoring, and cost control.

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
