Role & responsibilities

Role: Product Specialist / Product Owner

- Robust experience in APIs, Microservices, and Cloud Platforms (GCP & AWS)
- Exposure to the Salesforce ecosystem (preferred)
- Expertise in Stakeholder Management and Backlog Management
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and ALM tools
- Domain knowledge in Connected Services and IoT

Product Vision and Strategy

- Own and communicate the long-term product vision for EVA25 Admin Capabilities.
- Develop and maintain a compelling product strategy aligned to JLR's Connected Services and Customer Experience objectives.
- Define clear product outcomes, success metrics, and value propositions for internal and enterprise users.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, governance, scalability, and user self-service through enhanced administrative capabilities.
- Provide deep technology product knowledge to support product decisions and delivery readiness.
- Act as the primary product advocate and subject matter expert for the product.

Product Roadmap Management

- Develop and maintain a strategic multi-quarter product roadmap aligned to business priorities and engineering capacity.
- Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform investments and technical evolution.
- Collaborate with architects, engineering leads, cybersecurity, operations, and business stakeholders to prioritise roadmap initiatives.
- Drive roadmap decisions using customer insight, operational feedback, product analytics, and business value assessments.
- Present roadmap progress and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.





Backlog Ownership and Delivery

- Own, prioritise, and continuously refine the product backlog and make prioritisation decisions based on business impact, risk reduction, technical dependencies, and customer value
- Translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Maintains product knowledge assets, including process flows, feature maps, data flows, application context, integration flows, interaction sequence diagrams, and operational insight.
- Work closely with Agile delivery teams to ensure backlog readiness and delivery predictability.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to ensure alignment with product objectives.
- Accept completed work and validate that delivered functionality meets intended outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

- Partner with stakeholders across Engineering, Services, Customer Care, Security, Compliance, and Digital Product teams.
- Build strong relationships with internal users and operational teams to understand pain points and emerging requirements.
- Manage competing stakeholder demands while maintaining focus on strategic objectives.
- Communicate product vision, roadmap priorities, delivery progress,



and business outcomes effectively.

Technical Leadership

- Develop a strong understanding of the EVA25 platform architecture and connected vehicle ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, solution architects, platform teams, and DevOps teams.
- Drive API-first, scalable, secure, and reusable solutions.
- Understand technical trade-offs and support informed decision-making regarding platform architecture and implementation approaches.
- Ensure products meet cybersecurity, compliance, performance, and operational requirements.

Product Performance and Continuous Improvement

- Define and track KPIs and product success measures.
- Use telemetry, user feedback, operational metrics, and analytics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead continuous discovery activities to validate assumptions and shape future roadmap priorities.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.

- A clearly defined and communicated EVA25 Admin Capabilities product vision.
- A prioritised and outcome-driven product roadmap.
- A healthy, refined, and transparent product backlog.
- Delivery of roadmap commitments that support business and operational objectives, and reporting on programme health and status to stakeholders at regular Services Drumbeat meetings
- Measurable improvements in platform usability, operational efficiency, governance, and scalability.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and alignment across the organisation.
