Overview The scope of this role is to ensure sourcing of Agri-based, Cosmetics, staples and herbal raw materials to ensure competitive cost to company and mitigate risk of supply through proper contracting.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing for raw materials( Agri and Non Agri based)
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply, quality and cost leadership
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and quality issues.
- Resolve supplier issues and manage relationships to ensure compliance with agreements.
- To lead contracting with inputs from legal & user departments.
Cost Negotiations:
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement savings initiatives.
- Manage market cost fluctuations and negotiate for minimization of impact
- Send RFQs, take quotations, negotiate, and finalize recent product costing
- Negotiate and execute short-term supply and price agreements.
Supply Management:
- Initiate material planning against rolling demand plan
- Ensure materials are available as per production schedule and business plan
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the FMCG/Food industry raw materials sourcing role
- Education: BE/B Tech/MBA-Supply Chain/Operations
- Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport-building
- Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary
