Overview The scope of this role is to ensure sourcing of Agri-based, Cosmetics, staples and herbal raw materials to ensure competitive cost to company and mitigate risk of supply through proper contracting.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supplier and Vendor Management
Develop and execute strategic sourcing for raw materials( Agri and Non Agri based)
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply, quality and cost leadership
Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and quality issues.
Resolve supplier issues and manage relationships to ensure compliance with agreements.
To lead contracting with inputs from legal & user departments.
Cost Negotiations
Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement savings initiatives.
Manage market cost fluctuations and negotiate for minimization of impact
Send RFQs, take quotations, negotiate, and finalize new product costing
Negotiate and execute short-term supply and price agreements.
Supply Management
Initiate material planning against rolling demand plan
Ensure materials are available as per production schedule and business plan
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the FMCG/Food industry raw materials sourcing role
Education: BE/B Tech/MBA-Supply Chain/Operations
Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport-building
Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary
