About The Role The Procurement Specialist at Tech Data serves as a vital link between Sales Operations, vendors, and internal departments, ensuring the seamless procurement and delivery of products and services. This individual contributor role requires a proactive approach to managing purchasing activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Finance, Trade Compliance, and Enterprise Data Management.

The primary objective is to facilitate efficient order processing, maintain accurate vendor relationships, and support business growth by ensuring timely fulfillment of customer demands. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a thorough understanding of procurement processes within a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma, Degree, or professional qualification in Business, Finance, or related fields, complemented by a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, preferably within an IT multinational setting. Candidates without a degree should have at least three years of solid procurement or sales operations experience.

Experience with SAP, ERP systems, or shared services is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English, effective problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in MS Excel and Word are essential. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently under pressure, adapt to shifting priorities, and possess excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of vendor ordering tools such as portals and EDI systems is also desirable.

Responsibilities





- Develop comprehensive knowledge of TD Synnex’s core business model, processes, and vendor requirements to accurately process sales orders and procurement activities.
- Assist sales teams by understanding business initiatives, key processes, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance standards.
- Ensure all business transactions are conducted with the highest level of integrity and adhere to TD Synnex’s values and trade compliance policies.
- Process high-volume orders efficiently and accurately, maintaining a focus on quality and timeliness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sales personnel, coordinating with finance, trade compliance, procurement, and management teams to facilitate order fulfillment.
- Review purchase requisitions in SAP, validate details, convert requisitions to purchase orders, and submit to vendors.
- Own the order process, providing regular updates to sales and product managers at key stages to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.
- Place new stocking purchase orders as requested, monitor order backlogs, update vendor delivery dates, and follow up on overdue orders.
- Manage drop ship orders and confirm delivery notifications, ensuring timely processing and communication.
- Perform inbound system entries for software licenses, services, and non-tangible items, coordinating invoicing and documentation with support teams.
- Address and resolve rejected orders by liaising with sales teams for necessary corrections and resubmissions.
- Support finance in resolving invoice discrepancies, credit notes, and related queries.
- Handle stock returns, rotations, and transfers, ensuring compliance with procurement and trade policies.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of vendor processes, systems, and tools,



including portals and EDI systems, to streamline procurement activities.
- Collaborate closely with sales and product teams to meet customer expectations and adhere to vendor submission timelines.
- Stay updated on new vendor processes and procurement guidelines, documenting changes as needed.
- Support ad hoc requests related to orders, returns, and inquiries, demonstrating flexibility and proactive problem-solving.
- Meet or exceed predefined service level agreements and key performance indicators, continuously seeking process improvements.
