Job Title: Procurement Executive (Technical - Electronics)
Department: Procurement/Supply Chain

Reports To: Procurement Manager/Head of Supply Chain
Job Overview
At Nitrodynamics Aerospace and Defence, the Procurement Executive (Technical - Electronics) will play a key role in sourcing and managing the procurement of critical electronic components used in our defense and aerospace projects.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and timely procurement while managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and technical standards.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electronic components and the technical expertise needed to support cross-functional teams including engineering, R&D;, and quality control.
Sourcing and Procurement
• Source and procure a wide range of electronic components such as semiconductors, PCBs, resistors, capacitors, and defense-grade hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, R&D;, and quality) to ensure components meet technical and regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, lead times, and contract terms while ensuring continuous supply.
Supplier Management:
- Identify, qualify, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality components on time and within budget.
- Conduct supplier audits to evaluate their performance, capacity, and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Cost Management
- Manage the procurement budget and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project deadlines.
- Evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO) and work on value engineering projects to find more cost-effective sourcing solutions.
- Provide detailed cost analysis and market reports to support procurement decision-making.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all electronic components comply with defense and aerospace industry standards, including MIL-STD, ITAR, RoHS, and other relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to establish and maintain rigorous quality inspection protocols for incoming materials.
- Ensure that all suppliers adhere to required certifications and maintain up-to-date documentation.
Inventory and Lead Time Management:
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize stock-outs and overstock situations.
- Manage long lead times for critical components, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure uninterrupted production schedules.
- Balance just-in-time (JIT)
inventory strategies with the need for buffer stock in high-risk supply situations.
Risk Management and Supply Chain Continuity:
- Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Monitor market trends and supply chain conditions to adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
- Establish alternative sourcing options to minimize dependency on a single supplier or region.
Technology and Process Optimization:
- Utilize procurement and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to streamline operations and track supplier performance.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the efficiency of the procurement process through digital tools and innovative practices.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, performance issues, and cost-saving opportunities.
Reporting and Collaboration:
- Provide regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, cost savings, and market conditions to senior management.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with project requirements and organizational goals.
- Serve as a liaison between the supplier network and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience
- Minimum [X] years of experience in electronics procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the aerospace or defense sector.
- Experience managing global suppliers and negotiating contracts for technical components.
- Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of electronic components such as semiconductors, capacitors, resistors, and PCBs.
- Familiarity with defense industry regulations, including ITAR, MIL-STD, RoHS, and REACH.
- Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Certifications (Preferred)
- Certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)) are a plus.
