- Design and develop high-density PCB s (20+ layers) using ECAD design tools, such as Xpedition tool
- Ensure PCB designs meet medium to high-density requirements, incorporating advanced technologies like HDI, Fine Pitch Pin Fields, and High IO count
- Apply knowledge of Signal Integrity rules to ensure signal integrity and minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI)
- Familiarize yourself with EMC and Safety design issues, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Develop a strong understanding of PCB construction, including material selection, stack-up, and fabrication processes
- Generate accurate and complete fabrication and assembly documentation, including Gerber files
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure design requirements are met and provide technical guidance as needed
- Develop point tools and scripts (e.g., csh, Allegro scripts) to manage local tool performance and improve design efficiency
Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 4+ years of experience in PCB design,
with a solid background in ECAD design tools with Xpedition
- Proven experience designing high-density PCB s (20+ layers) and working with advanced technologies like HDI and Fine Pitch Pin Fields
- Strong knowledge of Signal Integrity, EMC, and Safety design principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
