Must Haves

- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years as a Senior Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Architect.
- Expert-level Python and API development experience.
- Strong SQL, database design, performance tuning, and data architecture skills.
- Deep experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Strong Microsoft Azure Cloud and cloud-native architecture expertise.
- Experience with Azure Monitor and observability solutions.
- Strong background in distributed systems, system design, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience with software quality, automated testing, code reviews, and release governance.
- Experience supporting highly scalable, mission-critical production systems.
- Proficiency with Git, Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
- Solid leadership, stakeholder management, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,



or a related field.

Preferred

- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
- Kafka or similar event streaming technologies.
- Platform Engineering and SRE experience.
- Large-scale cloud transformation leadership.
- DevOps, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and platform automation experience.
- Kubernetes experience, preferably AKS.

Job Summary The Principal Engineer will provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, driving the design and delivery of scalable, secure, cloud-native platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering with architectural leadership, leveraging Python, SQL, Redis, Docker, Azure, distributed systems, and enterprise architecture. You'll define technical strategy, establish engineering standards, mentor teams, and ensure the reliability and scalability of critical production systems.
