Role Description The Principal DevSecOps Engineer role is a full time, on-site position based in Abroad. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure to support software delivery across the organization.

The Principal

DevSecOps Engineer will embed security into every stage of the development lifecycle, automate security checks, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Daily tasks include collaborating with development and operations teams, improving observability and performance, managing cloud and on-prem environments, and responding to security incidents. The role also involves mentoring engineers, driving adoption of DevSecOps tools and methodologies, and contributing to architectural decisions that enhance reliability, security, and efficiency.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking.

Experience in Software Development and Programming with modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or similar).

Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices,



and integration with databases and external services.

Solid understanding and practical use of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles in designing scalable and maintainable systems.

Hands-on experience with DevOps and DevSecOps practices, CI/CD tools (such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) with a focus on security and resilience.

Experience implementing application and infrastructure security controls, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices.

Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Relevant certifications in cloud, security, or DevOps (e.g., AWS Certified Security, CISSP, CKA, or similar) are an advantage.
