Job Overview:

We are seeking a Data Scientist to support the development of data-driven pricing strategies, predictive models, and optimisation solutions. The role will analyse complex sales, customer, product, and market data to identify pricing opportunities, forecast demand, and improve revenue and margins.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop pricing, demand forecasting, elasticity, and optimisation models.
- Analyse large and incomplete datasets to identify trends and commercial opportunities.
- Support the development of an in-house pricing optimisation engine.
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to pricing challenges.
- Monitor model performance and recommend improvements.
- Analyse competitor pricing and market trends.
- Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations.
- Collaborate with Pricing, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Technology teams.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Maintain model documentation and data quality standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor s degree in Data Science,



Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data science, pricing analytics, revenue management, or advanced analytics.
- Experience with predictive modelling, forecasting, optimisation, or pricing analytics.
- Industrial distribution, manufacturing, MRO, retail, or e-commerce experience is preferred.

Skills:

- Strong Python or R and SQL skills.
- Advanced Excel and data visualisation capabilities.
- Knowledge of regression, forecasting, clustering, machine learning, and optimisation.
- Understanding of pricing, elasticity, segmentation, discounting, and margin analysis.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
