We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the modernization of our core infrastructure services. You will be responsible for redesigning the global Puppet ecosystem by migrating from Puppet 5 to Puppet 7+, while architecting the next-generation IPAM/DDI solution. You will work across hardware, networking, and platform teams to build scalable, automated, and reliable infrastructure services using Python-based automation.

Key Responsibilities

Puppet Ecosystem & Configuration Management

Lead the architectural redesign and migration of Puppet 5 to Puppet 7+.

Consolidate configuration management technologies including Puppet and Ansible into a unified enterprise solution.

Maintain reusable playbooks, modules, and templates for configuration standards, security baselines, and repeatable deployments.

DDI & Network Services

Design and implement enterprise IPAM and DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) platforms.

Develop scalable IP allocation, DNS, and DHCP lifecycle management strategies across multiple datacenters.

Integrate IPAM/DDI platforms with provisioning, bootstrapping, and CMDB workflows.

Python Automation & Platform Integration

Develop Python-based automation tools and REST APIs for infrastructure orchestration.





Build self-service automation workflows to reduce manual operational tasks.

Integrate internal and external APIs for automated provisioning and resource management.

Observability & Reliability

Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Nagios.

Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes and runbooks.

Track infrastructure metrics including availability, latency, and capacity.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

5+ years of Python development experience focused on automation, tooling, and REST API integrations.

Strong hands-on experience with Puppet 5 and Puppet 7 environments.

Enterprise-scale experience with IPAM, DNS, and DHCP solutions.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.

Solid Linux systems administration, bare-metal provisioning, hypervisor deployment, and CMDB experience.

Collaboration & Mindset

Strong operational mindset with focus on reliability, correctness, and supportability.

Experience collaborating with hardware, software, storage, and SRE teams.

Ability to solve complex technical problems with scalable automation.

Plus Points

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.

Knowledge of SRE methodologies, observability, and incident management.

Experience with Kubernetes and hybrid or multi-datacenter environments.

Experience building self-service infrastructure platforms and developer enablement solutions.
