Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor almond and walnut cracking machines/lines
- Set and adjust machine parameters for optimal throughput and yield
- Monitor production line performance and address downtime promptly
- Maintain accurate shift-wise production reports and logs
- Conduct routine machine checks and basic troubleshooting
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards during operations
- Coordinate with QC team to flag and address quality deviations
- Supervise shop-floor staff and support daily production planning
- Report machine faults and coordinate with maintenance for repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma or equivalent technical qualification preferred
- 24 years of experience operating production/processing machinery, ideally in nuts/dry fruits or food processing
- Good understanding of machine settings and throughput monitoring
- Basic knowledge of production reporting and record keeping
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic machine issues
- Robust attention to detail and safety consciousness
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Basic supervisory ability to guide shop-floor workers
