JOB IDENTIFICATION & Job Title: General Manager - Operations (Rigid Plastic Packaging)

POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION

This position is having total responsibility for the short- & long-term Plant Operations goals of rigid plastic packaging Solutions Business with a clear mandate of deliverables to achieve highest standards like safety Index, volume index, yield, quality, cost, customer support and strong business alignment for flexible manufacturing operations based on changing market requirements.

JOB SUMMARY (Bring out the major goals and critical accountabilities / which indicate successful outcomes.

1. Directly responsible for end-to-end operations for the Plant production. (Safety, Coordination with Planning & Production,)
2. Responsible for meeting the Safety and Production related KRA’s.
3. Scouting for Opportunities to increase productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, handling customer requirements both in terms of quality and service, and increase business profitability in the most cost-effective way.
4. Multitasking abilities to manage relationship with diverse influencers and stake holders.
5. Implementation of current methodologies / projects to improve the Operational effectiveness of the plant.
6. Strong knowledge of Rigid Plastic Packaging manufacturing processes
7. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / TPM / Continuous Improvement.
8. Good understanding of quality systems and compliance.
9. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To sustain high standards in operational deliverable.
2. Ensure smooth operations including Injection Moulding (IM), Injection Blow Moulding (IBM),



Injection Strech Blow Moulding (ISBM), Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM)
3. Plan and execute daily & monthly production targets.
4. Ensure optimal machine utilization, manpower planning, and productivity improvement • Maintain quality standards as per customer and regulatory requirements
5. Implement and monitor SOPs, ISO, GMP, 5S, and safety standards • Ensure cost optimization control wastage and improve yield.
6. Align with QA, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Dispatch teams for business optimization.
7. Handle audits, customer inspections, and process improvements
8. Lead, train, and motivate production teams
9. To continuously look for and anticipate difficulties and work out detail action plans for de-risking the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Relevant academic qualification,

- B. Tech/BE with proven Operations Record.
- 15+ year experience in manufacturing, similar industry preferred.

He should be able to lead the team for constantly leading in changes in his area of work. The incumbent should be able to leverage internal network of Saint-Gobain in order to solicit support and be multi-cultural in approach for gaining acceptance in the Saint-Gobain Eco-System.
