To lead and oversee the complete commercial function at the Mundra Plant, including port-based operations, plant commercial activities, warehouse management, and stores. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination with Head Office, government authorities, and internal stakeholders to support refinery operations, ensure statutory compliance, and drive cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Port-Based Operations (Mundra & Kandla Ports)

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor import activities in alignment with the Head Office Trading Team.
- Liaise with surveyors, customs house agents (CHA), and port authorities for smooth operations.
- Oversee customs clearance processes ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of import/export documentation.

2. Plant Commercial Operations

- Manage end-to-end plant commercial back-office operations.
- Supervise inward documentation and coordinate tanker movements.
- Monitor and follow up on inward and outward logistics activities.
- Oversee invoicing, billing, and shift-based commercial operations.
- Ensure completion of pre-shipment and outward formalities.
- Maintain accurate oil balancing through daily calculations and ensure proper maintenance of statutory/government registers.

3. Warehouse Management

- Oversee stock maintenance and periodic reconciliation with dispatch data.
- Conduct stock vs.



dispatch analysis and identify discrepancies.
- Ensure effective management of contractual manpower with full compliance to labor laws.
- Drive operational efficiency and control losses, leakages, and variances.

4. Stores Management

- Supervise operations of packing material and chemical stores.
- Monitor inventory aging and implement control mechanisms.
- Conduct weekly and fortnightly inventory reviews.
- Apply ABC analysis to optimize inventory levels and manage slow/non-moving items effectively.

Job Specifications Education & Qualifications

- MBA in Supply Chain / Finance / Commerce or equivalent qualification.

Experience

- 15-20 years of relevant experience in commercial operations, preferably in manufacturing/refinery/port-based environments.

Knowledge & Skill Set

- Strong expertise in import/export documentation and statutory compliance.
- High commercial acumen with solid analytical capabilities.
- Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, including contractual workforce handling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (internal & external).
- Strong problem-solving ability and capability to perform under pressure.
