Role Overview

Delhi International Public School Tajpur is looking for a highly disciplined, dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic Physical Training Instructor (PTI) who can take complete ownership of the school’s physical education, daily drills, assembly discipline, fitness and sports culture.

We are looking for a PTI who is firm, energetic, punctual and actively involved with students—someone who can establish discipline through physical training, develop confidence and fitness among students, and create a strong culture of sports and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assembly & Daily Discipline

- Take complete responsibility for the daily morning assembly and assembly discipline.
- Organise and conduct daily PT, drills, marching, stretching and fitness routines.
- Maintain proper formation, posture, attention, discipline and punctuality during assembly.
- Train students in marching, parade, commands, synchronization and ceremonial discipline.
- Ensure students follow proper uniform, grooming and physical discipline during assembly.

2. Physical Education & Fitness

- Conduct structured and age-appropriate PE classes and physical training for students.
- Develop students’ strength, stamina, flexibility, agility, coordination and overall fitness.
- Prepare regular fitness and physical-training routines for different age groups.
- Ensure that PE periods are active, organised and purposeful, rather than being free-play periods.
- Identify students with potential in different sports and encourage them to develop their abilities.

3. Sports & Activities





- Plan and conduct sports activities, competitions, athletics, drills and physical activities throughout the academic year.
- Prepare students for Inter-House, Inter-School and other sports competitions.
- Train school teams and prepare students for participation at appropriate levels.
- Assist in organising Annual Sports Day, Sports Week, fitness events and other school functions.
- Maintain proper records of students’ participation and achievements in sports.

4. Discipline & Student Management

- Maintain a firm but fair approach towards student discipline.
- Ensure students follow instructions, formations, rules and safety protocols.
- Be proactive in identifying and correcting indiscipline during assembly, sports, recess and outdoor activities.
- Develop discipline, teamwork, leadership, confidence and sportsmanship among students.
- Work closely with teachers and school management to maintain a strong culture of discipline.

5. Safety & Ground Management

- Ensure proper safety procedures during all physical activities and sports.
- Inspect sports equipment and playing areas regularly and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain proper use, storage and upkeep of sports equipment.
- Ensure students are appropriately supervised during all outdoor activities.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be:





- Strict, disciplined and commanding, while remaining fair and respectful towards students.
- Highly dedicated, punctual and responsible.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about physical education and sports.
- Energetic and physically active, with the ability to lead students by example.
- Confident in handling large groups of students.
- Excellent at giving clear commands, instructions and demonstrations.
- Capable of maintaining discipline without unnecessary aggression or humiliation.
- A strong team player who can coordinate effectively with teachers, coordinators and school management.
- Willing to take ownership beyond routine PE periods and actively contribute to the overall school culture.

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate with B.P.Ed./B.P.E.S. or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Prior experience as a PTI/PE Teacher in a reputed school will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in school assembly, drills, marching, athletics, sports teams and large-scale student activities will have an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
