Role Description This is a part-time remote role focused on PHP and cloud-based application development. The PHP and Cloud professional will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and services, integrating PHP back-end logic with cloud infrastructure.

Daily tasks include writing clean and efficient code, implementing APIs, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with team members to understand requirements and deliver features on schedule. The role also involves monitoring and troubleshooting cloud deployments, ensuring reliability, security, and cost-effective use of cloud resources.



Documentation of technical solutions and participation in code reviews will be part of the regular responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in server-side programming, including PHP development, object-oriented programming, and familiarity with up-to-date PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
- Candidates should possess solid cloud computing skills, such as experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cloud deployment, basic networking, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Candidates should possess web development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and integration with databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Candidates should possess skills in version control and tooling, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and basic containerization concepts (e.g., Docker).
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and quality-focused skills, including debugging, performance optimization, secure coding practices, and writing clear technical documentation.
- Relevant qualifications include prior experience in backend or full-stack development, a degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
