Role: Performance Marketing Manager
Department: Performance Marketing
Location: Andheri, Lower Oshiwara (100% Work from Office)
Reports to: Business Head- D2C
About the role:
TruNativ is an Indian D2C health and nutrition brand built around everyday consumables - products people come back for. We run approximately ₹1.5 crore a month in paid media across Meta and Google.
This role owns that spend end to end. You will set how paid performance is measured here, build the creative testing system that feeds it, and lead a team of two that you select yourself. It is a hands-on leadership role - you will be in the accounts daily, not reviewing someone else’s work.
You report directly to the Business Head. Campaign structure, bidding, budget allocation within agreed bands, and creative testing decisions are yours to make and defend.
Before you apply. This role requires that you have personally owned ₹75 lakh or more in monthly media spend, for at least 12 consecutive months. Not a team budget you contributed to. Not an agency book aggregated across several clients. If that isn’t you, this isn’t the right role - and we won’t be able to review the application.
What you’ll own
Media and budget
Full-funnel paid strategy across Meta and Google - Search, PMax, Shopping,
YouTube, Demand Gen - Monthly budget allocation and pacing across platform, funnel stage and SKU - Scaling decisions grounded in contribution margin and RTO-adjusted CAC, not platform-reported ROAS - The landing page and offer test roadmap for paid traffic - you specify what gets tested and why
Creative
A testing calendar of 15–25 net-new creative concepts per month - distinct angles, not variants of the same asset - Briefs written from performance data: which hooks, claims, formats and offers are working, and why - A creative audit cadence with defined kill and scale thresholds at concept level
Measurement
Attribution methodology of record. Platform numbers, GA4 and your blended view will disagree - your job is to tell the business which one to act on - Integrity of the tracking stack: pixel, Meta CAPI, server-side events, GA4, Merchant Center feed, Shopify events - Regular incrementality or geo-holdout testing on meaningful spend The first 90 days
- Days 1–30 - Take live control of both accounts, restructure them, and stand up the margin-adjusted reporting view we will run the function on
- Days 31–60 - Launch the creative testing engine at full cadence and rebuild first-party audience assets
- Days 61–90 - Scale behind validated winners, run the first incrementality read, and define the spend ceiling with a case for raising it
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years in paid performance marketing, with at least 2 years setting strategy rather than executing someone else’s
- Sustained personal ownership of ₹75L+ per month in media spend for 12+ months, on a brand P&L.; Agency experience counts if you owned a single account at that scale - not an aggregated book
- Deep hands-on Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads across Search, PMax, Shopping and YouTube
- Indian D2C paid experience: RTO and COD economics, prepaid-mix strategy, marketplace and quick-commerce attribution overlap
- GA4, GTM, Meta CAPI, server-side tagging, Shopify and Merchant Center feed management - you should be able to debug a broken conversion event yourself
- Experience running structured incrementality or geo-holdout tests on live spend
- A creative testing programme you have personally run at volume: concept-level tracking, defined kill and scale thresholds, briefs written from performance data
- Ability to build and defend a media P&L; - spend, contribution margin, CAC, payback - with every assumption stated
Strong advantage - Health, nutrition, supplements or FMCG consumables - categories with a natural repeat cycle - Paid acquisition into a subscription or replenishment model - Rebuilt a paid function, or turned around an underperforming account at scale - Working knowledge of health-claim restrictions in ad copy and creative approval To apply:
No cover letter, no portfolio. Send your applications to
[email protected] with your responses. Two questions, mostly numbers. Fifteen minutes if you have done this job.
1. Account snapshot. For the largest account you have personally owned, take the last full quarter you ran it and give us:
Monthly media spend · Paid-attributed monthly revenue · Blended ROAS · New-customer CAC · AOV · Prepaid vs COD split · RTO rate · Creative concepts tested per month.
Approximation is fine.
2. A D2C brand’s last three months look like this:
Key Business Metrics Managed
Month 1 Month 2 Month 3
Paid Spend ₹1.20 Cr ₹1.35 Cr ₹1.50 Cr
Paid Revenue ₹5.0 Cr ₹5.4 Cr ₹5.9 Cr
New Customers 18,000 17,200 16,100
Returning Customers 12,000 14,100 16,800
Revenue is growing and MER is holding around 4x. What is actually happening, which single metric would you put on the wall, and what is your first action? (100 words)
We read every response. If your numbers hold up, you’ll hear from us within a week.
