There are five aspects to Performance Engineering: software development lifecycle and architecture, performance testing and validation, capacity planning, application performance management and problem detection and resolution.

The role encompasses a broad spectrum of activities including analyzing software development processes and system architecture, validating performance through rigorous testing, planning for capacity needs, managing application performance, and swiftly detecting and addressing problems. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure optimal system efficiency and reliability across various stages of the software lifecycle, collaborating closely with multiple teams to maintain high standards of performance.

Roles & Responsibilities: Expected to be an SME,

Responsible for team decisions.

Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.

Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.

Lead efforts to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.

Coordinate cross-functional communication to align performance goals with project objectives.

Mentor junior team members to enhance their understanding of performance engineering principles.

Professional & Technical Skills: Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Linux.

Solid knowledge of system performance monitoring and tuning techniques.

Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.

Ability to analyze and interpret system logs and metrics to diagnose issues.

Familiarity with capacity planning and resource management in complex environments.

Skilled in troubleshooting application performance and identifying root causes.

Additional Information: The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Linux.

This position is based at our Bengaluru office.

A 15 years full time education is required.
