Packaging Line Engineer

Preferred Industry: FMCG/ EPC/ Oil Gas/ Chemicals

- Design, model, and simulate packaging line processes using Plant Simulation, FlexSim, Process Simulate, and Simulia.

- Analyse production workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

- Develop digital twins of packaging lines to evaluate performance and optimize layouts.

- Work with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, and Maintenance) to enhance line productivity and reduce downtime.

- Conduct feasibility studies for new packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and robotics integration.

- Perform capacity planning, throughput analysis, and material flow simulations for existing and new packaging lines.

- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.

- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FDA, ISO, and industry regulations related to packaging line operations.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvements, and reduce production costs.

- Support factory acceptance tests (FAT)



and site acceptance tests (SAT) for new equipment and automation systems.

Candidate Requirement

- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in packaging line design, simulation, and optimization in industries such as FMCG, CPG, Pharmaceuticals, or Industrial Manufacturing.

- Expertise in Plant Simulation, FlexSim, Process Simulate, and Simulia for modelling and process optimization.

- Strong knowledge of automated packaging systems, robotics, conveyors, filling, labelling, and palletizing operations.

- Positive understanding with PLC/SCADA-controlled packaging lines and Industry 4.0 solutions.

- Understanding of material handling, logistics, and supply chain constraints affecting packaging efficiency.

- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM methodologies for operational excellence.

- Solid problem-solving, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills.

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
