Role Description This is a full-time, on-site OT Technician role based at ASG Eye Hospital in Mysore. The OT Technician will assist ophthalmic surgeons in the operation theatre, including preparing surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables before procedures.

The role involves ensuring sterile conditions, assisting during surgeries, handling and maintaining OT equipment,



and adhering to infection control protocols. The OT Technician will support pre-operative and post-operative patient preparation, coordinate with nursing and medical staff, and help maintain accurate OT records and inventory. The role also includes complying with hospital safety standards, participating in quality improvement activities, and contributing to smooth, efficient OT operations.

Qualifications

- Relevant technical training or diploma in OT Technology or Operation Theatre Techniques from a recognized institution.
- Experience assisting in ophthalmic or surgical procedures, with strong knowledge of OT protocols and sterile techniques.
- Ability to handle, clean, and maintain surgical instruments and ophthalmic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, adherence to infection control and safety standards, and accurate documentation skills.
- Valuable communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and support staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts as needed, with a patient-centered, ethical, and professional approach.
- Prior experience in an eye hospital or super speciality healthcare setting is an advantage.
