Role: Oracle APEX Developer

Key responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.
- Develop database objects, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries using PL/SQL.
- Build responsive APEX pages, forms, Interactive Reports, Interactive Grids, dashboards, charts, validations, dynamic actions, and reusable components.
- Design and consume REST and SOAP APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and APEX web-service utilities.
- Integrate APEX applications with Oracle Fusion Cloud, OIC, third-party applications, and external databases.
- Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, session security, audit trails, and secure coding practices.
- Optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL programs, database objects, and APEX application performance.
- Troubleshoot application, database, integration, deployment, and production issues.
- Support deployments across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.
- Prepare technical design documents, deployment scripts, release notes, and user documentation.

Required skills

- Minimum five years of hands-on Oracle APEX development experience.




- Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with recent Oracle APEX versions.
- Strong experience with Interactive Reports, Interactive Grids, energetic actions, collections, shared components, and application processes.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs using ORDS, JSON, and APEX_WEB_SERVICE.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, and responsive user-interface development.
- Experience with APEX authentication, authorization schemes, access-control lists, session-state protection, and application security.
- Knowledge of database design, query optimization, indexing, logging, and performance tuning.
- Experience with source control, APEX export/import, release management, and production deployment.

Preferred skills

- Oracle Integration Cloud experience.
- Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM, SCM, or CX integration exposure.
- OCI Autonomous Database or Oracle Database Cloud Service experience.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SSO, certificates, and web credentials.
- Oracle APEX, Database, OCI, or OIC certification.
