Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations.

- Assess visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.

- Diagnose refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction devices.

- Educate patients on eye health, vision care, and preventive measures.

- Maintain accurate patient records and examination findings.

- Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other healthcare providers for surgery or complex eye diseases.

- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment such as autorefractors, slit lamps, retinal cameras, OCT scanners, and tonometers.

- Stay up to date with advances in eye care and clinical best practices.
