Job Profile:

- Conduct cutting-edge product development leading to the generation of current IP
- Perform optomechanical engineering roles to design and develop advanced electro-optical imaging and sensor systems.
- Work on projects end-to-end from proposal and design, through prototype development and analysis, to product development and manufacturing.
- Design and develop optomechanical assemblies, sub-systems & test facilities.
- Responsible for technical documentation (Models, CAD drawings, Simulations, BOMs, Assembly & Integration, etc.) relevant to E-O System.
- Support in Environmental testing meeting MIL/JSS55555 standards
- Work on projects independently, and with a multi-disciplined team of scientists, engineers, and technicians. Interact with other engineering groups, as well as cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Supply Chain.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales, and marketing.

Skills:

- High-Level Technical proficiency in mechanical design layout tools (Solid works, Creo, etc).




- Hands-on experience in the design & development of optomechanical systems. Understanding of optics and optomechanical best practices.
- Experience with E-O module assembly, alignment, and testing at component & system levels such as lens, mirror, camera, collimator, interferometers, etc, and metrology.
- Knowledge of Electro-Optics products working in visible, near-infrared, Short wave infrared, LWIR & MWIR, etc.
- Knowledge of Ansys, thermal/environmental analysis and ray tracing (Zemax) is a plus.
- Self-starter with initiative and tenacity to meet deadlines with quality products.
- Team player with the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge or experience in environmental tests & qualifications is a plus.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 8 years of experience if a B. Tech graduate.
- Minimum 5 years of experience if an M. Tech graduate.
