Key Responsibilities

1.

Customer

Service

- Greet customers and provide a professional, friendly, and personalized experience.
- Understand customer requirements based on the ophthalmologist's prescription.
- Guide customers in selecting suitable spectacle frames, lenses, sunglasses, and accessories.
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and product benefits.

2.

Prescription

Dispensing

- Accurately interpret spectacle prescriptions.
- Measure pupillary distance (PD), segment height, and other fitting parameters.
- Ensure correct frame fitting and adjustments for maximum comfort and vision.

3.

Optical

Sales

- Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets.
- Promote premium lenses, coatings, contact lenses, sunglasses, and accessories.
- Upsell and cross-sell products while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Increase average bill value through appropriate product recommendations.

4.

Inventory

Management

- Maintain optimum stock levels of frames, lenses, and accessories.
- Monitor quick-moving and slow-moving inventory.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of optical products.
- Billing & Documentation
- Generate accurate bills and maintain customer records.
- Ensure prescriptions, warranties, and invoices are properly documented.
- Follow cash handling and billing procedures as per company policy.

6.

Order

Management

- Place spectacle orders accurately with the laboratory.
- Track order status and ensure timely delivery.




- Verify finished spectacles before handing them over to customers.
- Coordinate with the lab for remakes or corrections whenever required.

7.

Quality

Assurance

- Ensure spectacles meet prescribed specifications before delivery.
- Perform final quality checks on lenses, frame alignment, and fitting.
- Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.

8.

Store

Maintenance

- Maintain an attractive and organized display of frames and accessories.
- Ensure cleanliness of the optical showroom and display units.
- Arrange products according to merchandising standards.
- Compliance
- Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Team Coordination
- Work closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists, counselors, and front office staff.
- Support promotional activities and marketing campaigns.
- Participate in training programs and continuously upgrade product knowledge.
