Job Summary:

We are hiring a qualified Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine to support academic, clinical, and administrative functions within the department, ensuring high-quality emergency care and compliance with NMC norms for teaching and training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Emergency Medicine, including theory, clinical skills, and simulation-based training.

- Supervise emergency medical services and oversee patient management in ER/Trauma.

- Participate in clinical rounds, triage protocols, and interdisciplinary coordination.

- Guide residents and junior doctors in decision-making and emergency procedures.

- Conduct and support clinical research, academic presentations, and publications.

- Assist in developing departmental SOPs, disaster preparedness, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Participate in night shifts, trauma response,



and rapid response teams as needed.

Qualifications:

- MBBS + MD/DNB (Emergency Medicine) from an NMC-recognized institution.

- Alternatively, MD in General Medicine, Anesthesia, or Critical Care with certified experience in Emergency Medicine (as per NMC guidelines).

- Minimum 3 years of post-PG teaching experience (Senior Residency).

- Registered with NMC or respective State Medical Council.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong skills in emergency procedures (airway, trauma, cardiac, toxicology, etc.)

- Effective communication, leadership, and teaching abilities

- Familiarity with emergency protocols, ACLS, BLS, and ATLS

- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced workplace

- Research aptitude and academic orientation
