A Conveyor Belt Operator controls systems that move materials, monitoring gauges, clearing jams with hand tools, adjusting speeds, and performing basic maintenance like oiling and cleaning to ensure smooth, continuous flow, while also recording production data and reporting malfunctions to supervisors, emphasizing safety and physical fitness. Key Responsibilities

- Operation: Start/stop conveyors, adjust speeds, route materials using levers, chutes, and gates, and transfer items between belts.
- Monitoring: Watch gauges, dials, and lights to maintain specified operating levels and detect equipment issues.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Explicit jams, remove damaged items, oil parts, tighten joints, and perform basic repairs (like splicing).
- Data & Reporting: Record production data (weights, quantities, downtime), document issues, and communicate with supervisors and other workers.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, perform pre-operational checks, and ensure a clean work area.
