Participate in war room calls and bridge lines during major database incidents Handle escalation matrix and maintain clear communication with business and technical stakeholders Provide timely status updates during incidents, maintenance windows, and change events Participate in governance, service review, and capacity planning meetings Coordinate with AWS support, SAP/Sybase support, and Microsoft Premier Support for critical issue resolution Technical Experience: 3 to 5 years of total experience in database administration with a focus on MSSQL and Sybase/SAP ASE Hands-on experience managing SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2019/2022 in production environments, both on-premises and on AWS RDS Working knowledge of Sybase ASE including administration, performance tuning, replication, and troubleshooting Knowledge on AWS RDS for SQL Server including deployment, patching, Multi-AZ, and snapshot management Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent MSSQL certification preferred AWS Database Specialty a plus Professional Attributes: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a client-facing workplace Ability to handle critical database incidents and coordinate escalations under pressure Flexible to work in a hybrid on-call or 24/7 rotation model as required Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to production stability Willingness to cross-train across MSSQL and Sybase platforms and adapt to evolving cloud tooling Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Relevant industry certifications in Microsoft SQL Server, SAP Sybase ASE, or AWS Database technologies are strongly preferred.
