Role Description The Operations and Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) is a full time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for ensuring reliable electrical infrastructure operations within Pi’s data center environment. This role includes monitoring and maintaining electrical systems such as transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, power distribution units, and related protection and control systems to support continuous data center uptime. The engineer will perform routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting,



and coordination with vendors and contractors for repairs and upgrades.

The role involves adhering to safety standards, energy efficiency practices, and compliance with relevant electrical codes and regulations, while maintaining detailed documentation of maintenance activities and system performance. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capacity planning, infrastructure improvements, and incident response, ensuring stable and resilient power delivery for mission-critical IT and cloud services.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of electrical power systems in data centers, including transformers, switchgear, UPS, DG sets, PDUs, and power quality management.

Experience with operations and maintenance of HT/LT electrical equipment, protective relays, SCADA/BMS monitoring, and fault diagnosis in critical environments.

Understanding of safety standards, electrical codes, energy efficiency practices, and compliance frameworks relevant to high-availability facilities.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.

Hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning, spare parts management, and vendor coordination.

Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and instruments (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers, power analyzers) and documenting test results.

Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with operations, facilities, and IT teams in a 24/7 mission-critical
