Role Description The Online Python Mentor – US Shift is a part-time, remote role focused on guiding school-age learners through live, online Python programming sessions. The mentor will conduct interactive classes, explain core Python concepts, and support learners as they build projects and solve coding challenges.

Responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, adapting explanations to different age groups and skill levels, monitoring learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The mentor will also maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment,



communicate with the support team when needed, and ensure that sessions follow Codeyoung’s curriculum and teaching standards.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Python programming, including core syntax, data structures, and basic algorithms.
- Experience teaching, mentoring, or tutoring children or teens in a technical or academic subject.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, engaging language suited to different age groups.
- Comfort with online teaching tools, video conferencing platforms, and digital collaboration tools.
- Explicit spoken and written communication skills in English for US-based learners and schedules.
- Patient, empathetic, and inclusive approach to working with diverse learners and learning styles.
- Reliable internet connection, suitable hardware, and a quiet setting for conducting live classes.
