Company Description Codeyoung offers interactive coding courses to learners aged 5 to 17, with a strong emphasis on hands-on practice and clear learning outcomes. The organization designs student-centric sessions that encourage active participation, creativity, and problem-solving rather than traditional lecture-based teaching.

Curriculum and classes are structured to make technology and coding accessible, engaging, and relevant for school-age learners. Codeyoung values mentors who can support this practical, learner-focused approach and help young students gain confidence in STEM subjects.

Role Description The Online Maths Mentor UK Shift Timing (8:30PM-2:30AM) is a part time, remote role focused on teaching mathematics to school-age learners in an online environment aligned with UK time zones. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering interactive math sessions, explaining concepts clearly, guiding learners through problem-solving exercises, and adapting teaching strategies to different learning styles.

The mentor will use digital tools and online platforms to conduct live classes, share resources, track learner progress, and provide constructive feedback.

The role also involves maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment, communicating with parents or guardians when needed, and coordinating with the internal team on scheduling and curriculum updates.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in mathematics and the ability to explain concepts clearly to school-age learners.
- Experience in online teaching or tutoring, including comfort with virtual classroom tools and digital learning platforms.
- Effective communication, classroom management, and learner engagement skills in a remote setting.
- Ability to plan lessons, structure learning objectives, and adapt instructional methods to different age groups and abilities.
- Patient, empathetic, and learner-focused approach, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Reliable internet connection, suitable hardware, and readiness to work part-time during UK shift timings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; prior mentoring or teaching experience with children and teens is an advantage.
