Role & responsibilities To ensure that all manufacturing processes for EHV Instrument Transformers and Bushings comply with approved quality standards, engineering specifications, customer requirements, and statutory regulations by monitoring, inspecting, analyzing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes.
The role focuses on defect prevention, process capability enhancement, first-time-right manufacturing, and timely resolution of quality issues.
The In-Process Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing activities for EHV Instrument Transformers (CTs, PTs, CVTs, and related products) comply with applicable quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
The role focuses on monitoring and controlling product quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting stage-wise inspections,
verifying critical process parameters, identifying non-conformities, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
The engineer collaborates closely with Production, Engineering, Testing, and Supply Chain teams to prevent defects, improve process capability, ensure product traceability, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
The position plays a key role in achieving zero-defect manufacturing, reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), enhancing first-pass yield, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as International Electrotechnical Commission IEC 61869, International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001, and company quality management systems.
