Specific Responsibilities

- Assuring that all prescription drugs and controlled substances are secure and secure in the pharmacy
- Developing a system of inventory record keeping and control to detect any shortages or discrepancies in controlled substances at the earliest possible time
- Preparing a plan to safeguard prescription records and pharmaceuticals in the event of a natural disaster

such as a hurricane

- Develop all policies, procedures and training manuals as well as quality assurance programs
- To maintain proper documentation related to i.e. Narcotic & Denature sprit.
- To ensure timely return of short expiry medicines and disposables
- Responsibile for medication records in health care facilities
- To ensure deposit of short expiry return slip to finance
- To ensure storage as per items location
- To ensure proper condemnation of loose medicines and breakage.
