The Salesforce QA Engineer will execute functional testing, regression testing, integration validation, and release support for Salesforce cleanup, remediation, and enhancement work. This role is focused on validating Salesforce platform changes, not Marketing Cloud/campaign QA or test automation engineering.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute test cases for Salesforce configuration changes, Flow updates, Apex changes, and backlog-driven enhancements.
- Perform regression testing to confirm existing Salesforce functionality remains stable after changes.
- Validate cleanup activities involving fields, layouts, record types, validation rules, permissions, sharing, and automation.
- Support domain migration testing, including validation of impacted Salesforce URLs, integrations, and related regression scenarios.
- Document defects clearly with reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, screenshots/evidence, and severity.
- Retest resolved defects and support release validation.
- Coordinate with Senior QA Engineer, Salesforce Engineers, Product Team contacts, and client-side testing resources.
- Maintain test evidence and support release-readiness documentation.
Required Skills
- Salesforce functional testing experience.
- Regression testing experience.
- Experience validating Salesforce configuration, Flow, permissions, page layouts, and business process changes.
- Defect documentation and retesting experience.
- Understanding of Agile/sprint-based delivery.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to follow test plans.
Preferred Skills
- Salesforce integration testing experience.
- Financial Services Cloud testing exposure.
- Banking, wealth management, or financial services domain experience.
- Experience supporting Salesforce release validation.
- Familiarity with nCino-related regression dependencies is helpful, but nCino development or enhancement testing is not the primary focus.
Test Automation Positioning
Automation testing experience may be beneficial, but it should not be listed as required. The QA need appears to be functional/regression/release validation support rather than automation framework ownership.
